Shockwave

VFIX Technique & Protocol: Nerve De-Trapment™

EP.001 Time to Rewrite the Textbooks: Is Your Heel Pain Really Plantar Fasciitis?

Not every person with heel pain should automatically be labeled as having "Plantar Fasciitis."

People around the world share the same frustrations: heel pain, pain around the ankle, or pain near the Achilles tendon. Many have been treating it for months—or even years—trying everything available:

•Massage therapy

•Targeted stretching

•Rolling the foot on a massage ball

•Shockwave therapy

•Expensive footwear changes

Yet, the symptoms remain. In some cases, they even become more complicated.

Why does this happen?

Could it be because the true source of the problem has never actually been identified?

When patients present these symptoms at VFIX, we do not automatically start treating the heel simply because that is where they feel the pain. In clinical practice, where you feel pain does not necessarily tell you where the problem originates.

Consider these common scenarios:

Experiencing severe pain with the first few steps in the morning, which decreases after walking.

Feeling pain in the heel, ankle, and Achilles region simultaneously.

Experiencing symptoms that shift from one area to another.

Should every one of these cases simply be concluded as "inflammation in the heel"?

"Textbooks are for foundational learning, but real clinical practice requires deep examination, analysis, and application."

Two patients can have the exact same symptoms without having the same underlying problem. They can feel pain in the exact same location without requiring treatment in that exact location.

This explains why some individuals receive localized heel treatments for years without lasting relief. If the actual contributing factor is not at the heel, treating the heel repeatedly will leave the original problem unanswered.

At VFIX Physical Therapy Clinic, we utilize our proprietary in-depth physical therapy assessment approach:

VFIX Technique & Protocol:

Nerve De-Trapment™

We don't just ask, "Where does it hurt?" We ask, "What is actually driving the symptom?"

If you are still struggling with heel, ankle, or Achilles pain, or if your symptoms keep recurring despite previous treatments, maybe the better question is no longer: "How do I treat plantar fasciitis?"

Maybe the real question should be:

"Are you sure this is actually Plantar Fasciitis?"
